For me a surprise is an illusion, it is the contrary to expectation, which is an illusion too. No surprise without previous expectation. In my life surprises have happened very very rarely because I do not expect things to happen. Expectations are the basis for disappointment, frustration, … For me expectations do not make much sense. Why should we expect something, from whom ? Things happen whether we expect them or not. We just should handle them …
