I am not going to leave

I have everything right here

I used to travel a lot and now I am content staying where I am. I have arrived and  I feel at home. There is nothing that pulls me to take a journey anymore. Not that I do not travel, or have lost interest and passion for experiencing places far away, but I know now, what I have secretly looked for, is right here in myself.  I am not going to leave this house…

For all my friends, wanderers and wonderers, everywhere. Let us marvel at Rumi’s beautiful soul and experience the sense of being at home in oneself.

….how can I think
of going very far
how can I walk headless
how can  I go with no soul…

I’m not going to leave
this house and set out
on a journey anymore
I’ve everything right here

in every corner
a garden of memories
devoid of darkness
devoid of fera

the news of my journey
spreading in this town
is but a rumour of envy
sent around by the enemy

how can I think
of going very far
how can I walk headless
how can  I go with no soul

how can I find
anywhere in this world
a more beautiful face
a more desired beloved

even the moon
is seeking for this love
to see it’s reflection
to find it’s adornment

if I ever talk about
going to travel
or leaving this town
break my teeth with no qualms

I’ve lost my feet
going to the sea of love
but like a boat
i need no feet to crawl

and even if you
throw me out of your door
i’ll come back
through the roof hole

because of your love
I’ll be dancing and floating
in this air as a speck of dust
to finally settle in your house

About Michaela

I am a wanderer and a wonderer, like you are. I love our journey and to walk in the company of friends – to learn, experience, share, laugh, cry and above all I simply love this marvelous, magical, mysterious life. I have no plan (cannot believe I am saying this) and my only intention is to be truthful to myself and others.

  1. Glerikud says:

Be and want what is here and not what is far away:

    Tao Te Ching: Verse 12

“The five colors blind the eye.
The five tones deafen the ear.
The five flavors dull the taste.
Racing and hunting madden the mind.
    Precious things lead one astray.
Therefore the sage is guided by what
he feels and not by what he sees.
He lets go of that and chooses this.”

  2. Dreamfable says:

    An old theme. Beautiful !

  3. Michaela says:

Here and now – and in me.

That is bringing it to the point.

    Thank you, my friends…
