Of god and devil

I always have always fascinated by the mysterious body of work by Hieronimus Bosch (b 1450 – d 1516). The paintings is all that is left, we know very little about the man and hisview of the world. He produced several tryptichs, of which the “Garden of Earthly Delights” is his most famous work of art. The bizarre and fantastic paintings of the Dutch artist are full of symbols and pointers. The enigmatic work has been acclaimed as early exploration of the unconscious mind.

The attached image can be viewed in high resolution so it is possible to explore the details. I would love to read a few thoughts of interpretation of anyone interested in symbols.

About Michaela

I am a wanderer and a wonderer, like you are. I love our journey and to walk in the company of friends – to learn, experience, share, laugh, cry and above all I simply love this marvelous, magical, mysterious life. I have no plan (cannot believe I am saying this) and my only intention is to be truthful to myself and others.
