It doesn’t matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M
Just put your paws up
‘Cause you were born this way, baby
My mama told me when I was young
We are all born superstars
She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on
In the glass of her boudoir
“There’s nothin’ wrong with lovin’ who you are”
She said, “‘Cause He made you perfect, babe”
“So hold your head up, girl and you you’ll go far,
Listen to me when I say”
I’m beautiful in my way,
‘Cause God makes no mistakes
I’m on the right track, baby
I was born this way
Don’t hide yourself in regret,
Just love yourself and you’re set
I’m on the right track, baby
I was born this way

The new French Connection’s Spring/Summer 2011 advertising campaign is entitled “You are…” which questions what it means to be a man or a woman in today’s society. This campaign challenges the consumer to explore how gender and society dictate behavior with powerful, thought-provoking imagery. “You are…” continues the conversation of the brand’s past award-winning campaigns from 2010 featuring French Connection’s “The Man” and “The Woman.” Moving forward from the idealized image of man and woman, French Connection has created scenarios confronting the viewer by asking, “You are Man?” and “You are Woman?”
My vote ? Definitely New Earth…(love the wet shirt look too…)
All eyes may be on the Middle East, but there is also a quite explosive story developing in the US. In Ohio, Tennessee, and Indiana newly elected Republican lawmakers are facing off against unions as they attempt to roll back long-held benefits and bargaining rights. Freedomworks, an organization that helped grow the Tea Party movement, says it’s using its list of supporters to rally people around several states’ anti-union bills, while in Pennsylvania, union members plan to wear read in solidarity despite not currently being under attack. Meanwhile, Wisconsin Democrats remain on the run, trying to delay a vote on their state’s bill that would sharply curtail the power of public workers unions.
And then there is the House vote to slash $ 60 bn from the federal budget over the next seven months, showing the efforts of the new Republican majority to shrink size and scope of government.

A movie about change that is set in motion by some seemingly random events – some protagonists resist, others go with it. Some decide to stay back in the hell they are in, others leave and are liberated. Intensity, details, colors, purpose…and beauty. Io sono l’amore – I am Love. This is what it means.

I love clothes but mostly I admire the art of designers, and creators of beautiful fabric. I don’t own many nice clothes except what I’ve bought second hand. No cashmere yet though I have given as a gift. I’m sure I will someday though. Its funny, too, because part of my work is designing and making fashionable clothes for other people. But I have pretty simple things myself. But when I see the great masters of fabric arts it is so inspiring and helps to inspire me and push my ideas further. I guess I’m thinking a lot about this right now because it’s Fashion Week and I am pouring over the latest creations as the shows finish and images are posted online. They just make me look at everything much closer. ya know, to “Look really look at everything in this world for inspiration.
