The wisdom of Rumi

A golden tower and a rainbow

‘There is a way between voice and presence
where information flows.
In disciplined silence it opens.
With wandering talk it closes.’

About Michaela

I am a wanderer and a wonderer, like you are. I love our journey and to walk in the company of friends – to learn, experience, share, laugh, cry and above all I simply love this marvelous, magical, mysterious life. I have no plan (cannot believe I am saying this) and my only intention is to be truthful to myself and others.

  1. Pete says:

Wonderful quote. Would make for a thoughtful discussion here or on ET

  2. fatima says:

Acutely relevant to me right now. Are you getting these quotes from Kabir’s book?

    Three days left of Ramadon.

Does it affect the world vibration when millions of people are fasting for a month? I always wonder about that. Ramadon is such a mystery to me.

I have been in the silent majority here and in the forums.

    Good stuff.

    In appreciation and affection,

    Fatima

  3. fatima says:

    Yes.

In a way it is the very definition of a thoughtful discussion.

Resurrects the idea of thoughtful too which has fallen into some disrepute through its connection to egoic so called thinking.

  4. Michaela says:

I love this one too. It captures the fullness of true listening.
    We should explore this one…

Fatima, Pete – are you up to it ?
