If you dwell very long

If you dwell very long
in a heart depressed and dark
be aware you’ve fallen low
in will and quest

a heart filled with grief
whirling and spinning endlessly
can never feel at peace

what makes you
tremble in fear
thats your true worth now

whatever seems to be
your healing source
is the cause of your pain

whatever you think
is sure, secure and forever
is what hunted you down

whenever your mind flies
it can only land
in the house of madness

whenever love arrives
there is no more space
for your self-claim

a heart filled with love
is like a phoenix
that no cage can imprison

such a bird can only fly
above and beyond
any known universe

Rest and See

In these days, weeks and months  as a cornucopia of catastrophes, disasters and bad news are upon us, we have ample opportunity to study the human mind at large. How does the human race keep up facing unprecedented  adversity on a global scale ?

Truly, there is not a single spot on this earth that is currently spared by the epochal events that have unleashed and keep bearing down on us. Climate change, erratic weather, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, droughts have left a path of destruction and a scarcity of food. The global financial crisis is leading to monumental debts on both side of the Atlantic, leaving those countries that have been thriving on an ostensibly growing economy, vulnerable. We are learning that growth does not necessarily translate into prosperity and we are facing a reality of  high unemployment, depressed home values and state budgets in deep trouble. On the other hand, there have been healthy corporate profits and even a recovery of the financial sector, which led to a sigh of relief by those, confusing the stock-market with the state of the economy. Because companies and banks alike, are either sitting on their cash, or use it to buy back stock or acquisitions to increase their share prices. Needless to say, those are the very corporations and banks that have received billions of bail-out money from taxpayers to rescue them from going under.

Finding the light

Truly, it is in darkness that one finds the light, so when we are in sorrow, then this light is nearest of all to us.

Old World or New Earth ?

Know-how of what exactly ?
Maybe of  losing money big time ? Remember 2008 anyone…??
Hmmm…Retirement Goals? Do they still exist ? The guy with the toothy grin says he can make it happen…fortunately it says in the disclaimer: May lose Value… OK, I find this ad funny.

The Field

THE FIELD

by Justme

Swaying playing knee high grass
Ripples across an endless promenade of green
A snaking dizzy trampled human path
Jigsaws the scene
As a lazy haze of darting midgets hug
the prickly hawthorn which flanks as a bordering snug
Dancing and miming their tig within a moving cloud of life.
Hornets hover and spit from nowhere to somewhere and back again.

Dipping elegantly, head plunged  determinedly  forward, a blackbirds dolphin swim
Reminds.
Open space is not their thing
Yet gently  a butterfly tiptoes from pollen tops
With China wings and warrior coat it mocks the blackbirds flee.
Awkward bumble bees bump and buzz more crashing than landing on rainbow flower tops.
Their sorbet yellow and liquorice black seduces the alert speckled thrush

The hum and drone is of a tiny movement called energy.
The great oak, holds centre stage, its baton canopy sways and flows in a soft warm breeze
As it conducts life itself to sing and dance with perfect powerful hidden ease.
The leaves applaud in rattling unison.
Sunbeams split it’s craggy branches and spears the ground from above
Lasers of light  burst climatically with electrifying lightened love.
No voice of man is heard,
or needed
The symphony crescendos and continues, unheeded.

White Feathered floppy clouds meander across the fading stencilled sky.
Who am I within this scene?
A tiny speck of eyes and mind,
not even seen!

I begin to sway.

What is going on ?

The biggest issue with Fukushima is that it is so difficult to find balanced and pertinent information. Part of it is that nobody really knows, but another part is that the media have been extremely cautious and by now all but gone quiet on the developing situation in Japan. On top of it, I do not hear much about taking measures to get out of atomic energy anywhere ?  Isn’t this something people want ?

AFTER FUKUSHIMA: American Attitudes about nuclear power

I find the following website to be a good source for truthful and up-to-date information.

Nuclear Information and Resource Service

Al Jazeera features:

Fukushima: A ‘nuclear sacrifice zone’

Please add any pertinent information, as you see fit. Thank you.
