Annoying people

Asking for trouble

A double enquiry between Angelika and Michaela

Situation I (Michaela)

M: There is something currently in my life that is just ridiculous and somewhat disturbing. So I wonder if we can shed some light on the sub-conscious pattern and solve this riddle.

On Soulmates

A soulmate is a perfect mirror

I finally have an answer why the divorce rates are skyrocketing: it is because everyone wants to marry their soul mates.

I never really gave much thought to the idea of soul mates, until one day I found myself being irresistibly pulled to one.  And I can assure you, he is  the most annoying and stubborn person anyone has ever fallen in love with.

Love by Rumi

Sweeter than wine

The one who has not had a taste of love
Is but a piece of wood or stone to God.
Love extracts water from stones;
Love removes rust from mirrors.
infidelity seeks war, faith peace;
Love sets fire to war and peace alike.
Love opens its mouth in the sea of the heart;
It devours the two worlds like a whale.
Like a lion, love knows no ruse;
It does not change from a lion to a fox.

(Divan 1331:1-5)

University of South Carolina Press, 1998.

The day time stopped

My watch has retired

Recently I found my watch in a box somewhere in the back of a drawer and it occurred to me that I have not seen it in nearly two years.

I am no longer wearing a watch.

The wisdom of Rumi

    Free of who I was (Nussberg, Vienna)

    Praise to the emptiness that blanks out existence.
    This place made from our love for that emptiness!

    Yet somehow comes emptiness,
    this existence goes.

    Praise to that happening, over and over!
    For years I pulled my own existence out of emptiness.

    Then one swoop, one swing of the arm,
    that work is over.

    Free of who I was, free of presence, free of dangerous fear, hope,
    free of mountainous wanting.

    The here-and-now mountain is a tiny piece of a piece of straw
    blown off into emptiness.

    These words I’m saying so much begin to lose meaning:
    Existence, emptiness, mountain, straw:

    Words and what they try to say swept
    out the window, down the slant of the roof.

In the classical Ordinary of the Mass, the ” Gloria” follows the Kyrie. The gloria is a chant of joy and devotion. It a prayer of highest reverence.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men of good will. We praise You, we bless You, we adore You, we glorify You, we give thanks
