Summertime

Summertime (Patricia Kaas)

About Michaela

I am a wanderer and a wonderer, like you are. I love our journey and to walk in the company of friends – to learn, experience, share, laugh, cry and above all I simply love this marvelous, magical, mysterious life. I have no plan (cannot believe I am saying this) and my only intention is to be truthful to myself and others.

How delightful! And looks to me (an old Dutchie, now Aussie) very Dutch! (or not?)

Patricia Kaas is French, I think…
And the still in my photo is on my balcony…

So the photo is yours, Michaela? So then, what’s the connection with Patricia Kaas? I’m curious about his lady with the Dutch-sounding name, who is a French singer (almost French-German), and the connection with the still, which is yours… Want to tell us more?

      Hi Johanna,

I was looking for a recording of George Gershwin’s “Summertime” on my itunes and came across Patricia Kaas. I like her voice.
Its the lyrics that came into my mind…” Summertime, and the living is easy….”

Hmmm – Summertime, and the living looks to be delightful… Here in Sydney, it’s winter and cold…. well, by our standards here – nights around freezing point, days up to 18C. A mild climate, you might say!…and the living is easy…. sometimes, not for lots of people, though. However, I try to remember how so many people in other countries are living. Still lots of reasons to be grateful!
