The Living Room 
That is a very good question because I am sure we all go different places, when we “go inside”. A few years ago, as teacher put me on a meditation practice, which I had never done before. So I was instructed to do some yogic exercises and then just sit with a straight spine. So I sat, wondering where the hell I should go with this. At first I was in my head, focusing the attention on an area of my forehead, between my eyebrows. More often than not, I just spaced out or even fell asleep. It was dull and boring. Then I adopted a physically more challenging yogic practice which activated circulation and energy. And so I went a bit further down and discovered the sensations of energy running through my body. After a while I dropped the yogic practice and just became aware what was going on in my body – mind, physical body, emotions, feelings, sensations, energy running…and that I do until this very day, even tough I do not have a regular meditation practice.
So, we do not go anywhere, we just let ourselves fall right in the middle of it !
