All is Truth

ALL IS TRUTH

O ME, man of slack faith so long!
Standing aloof–denying portions so long;
Only aware to-day of compact, all-diffused truth;
Discovering to-day there is no lie, or form of lie, and can be none,
but grows as inevitably upon itself as the truth does upon
itself,
Or as any law of the earth, or any natural production of the earth
does.

(This is curious, and may not be realized immediately–But it must be
realized;
I feel in myself that I represent falsehoods equally with the rest,
And that the universe does.)

Where has fail’d a perfect return, indifferent of lies or the truth?
Is it upon the ground, or in water or fire? or in the spirit of man?
or in the meat and blood? 10

Meditating among liars, and retreating sternly into myself, I see
that there are really no liars or lies after all,
And that nothing fails its perfect return–And that what are called
lies are perfect returns,
And that each thing exactly represents itself, and what has preceded
it,
And that the truth includes all, and is compact, just as much as
space is compact,
And that there is no flaw or vacuum in the amount of the truth–but
that all is truth without exception;
And henceforth I will go celebrate anything I see or am,
And sing and laugh, and deny nothing.

The beauty of form

The wind has settled, the blossoms have fallen;
Birds sing, the mountains grow dark —
This is the wondrous power of Buddhism.

Facing adversity, facing aversion

Look around you – it s all but impossible to ignore: The world that we have known and took for granted,  has simply ceased to exist.  There is a forceful dynamic at work, that is bringing everything that is untrue to the surface.  The political farce and budget debacle in the US, the debt crisis and dis-unification of Europe, the revolution and changes in the Middle East, the earthquake cum tsunami in Japan, followed by a nuclear catastrophe – and those are just the top-line news from the past few weeks.

Are we witnessing the birth pangs of a New Earth ?

How are you holding up ? What can we do – what must be done to prepare ourselves to face this and more bad news on a global scale? What does it mean to live a truthful life, being confronted with adversity and facing aversion on an enormous scale ?

Dance with me oh child of God

DANCE WITH ME OH CHILD OF GOD
By Justme

Dance with me, oh child of God
For love has left me and enchantment took it’s place.
Spin me not but look upon mine face
For love has danced with me, yet love forgot
Love looked upon the rose as beauty full of innocence
Yet love forgets me. I too don’t know
What the wind has whispered
I wish to know, but love forgets me now
Only love knows how,
Or why,
Or when,
Or best
I feel the wind, yet I know not what it says.
I cling to life
I fear,I cling no more.
I slip upon the thorn and life slips away from me
I look upon a mirror with no reflective face
For love has left me and enchantment
took it’s place.

Yet, once upon a time, in the land of dreams
All fell still
The earth made way and gaped with longing love
The crust of life broke free
The rose was me and I was you and we were one
I could only, just be.
Once upon a time In a land
Where the minute stop and the blind can see

The wind whispered and I heard
Enchantment left and love immersed, within the rest
And the rose was swallowed and
Destiny fulfilled,
My simple, enchanted quest.
For love.

Dance with me, for love has left me and enchantment, took it’s place.

Runaway Train

How does it feel to be on a runaway train ? News and commentaries on the state of the global economy are nothing but daunting. Old world solutions obviously do not work any longer, New Earth responses are yet to be formulated and applied. The answer to today’s dilemma cannot be found in the past. National interest, division and greed are be the culprits and we all have contributed to a world quickly  spinning out of balance.

And yet – we have a choice. Either succumb to fear and denial or take action- Each of us is called now to find the exact equivalents in oneself and let go of it. This is how a New Earth is being created Now. Spirituality has to be lived to manifest on the outside.

The Mellon Doctrine

By Paul Krugman

“Liquidate labor, liquidate stocks, liquidate the farmers, liquidate real estate.” That, according to Herbert Hoover, was the advice he received from Andrew Mellon, the Treasury secretary, as America plunged into depression. To be fair, there’s some question about whether Mellon actually said that; all we have is Hoover’s version, written many years later.

Eyes closed then wider opened

EYES CLOSED THEN WIDER OPENED
By Justme

Eyes closed then wider opened, I enter a higher land.
While smoothing touch of air, of wind, seduces my skin on face.
Soft and warm, fulfilling, I welcome its gentle, caring touch.
If its love I long, its smothering caress, draws me closer
and higher
and lighter
and still.

Then heavy eyelids slide up to glimpse a twinkle in the sky
As all great men have seen, so now have I.
Invisible umbilical draws it,
dares it,
closer to me.
Longing, sprited heart seeks its solace, its centre.
Oh if I could merge with thee, and touch the mind of man.

Fill this gap, this space between you and I .
I dream your fire, your peace, your power,
of solitude.

The raindrops slip
and drip
and drop, to earth
The noise they make dances within my ears as
The buzz and bizz of man made energy hums and mumbles
Dull, yet somehow clear.
I hold this scene with eyes now closed
and drift and shift, so slow.

Time stands still
and still
and stop.
My heart and mind raised, beyond all mountain top.
I soar,
I fly,
I see.

Course of action

Obama’s Lybia speech:

What is the right course of action ? I admit – I do not know. I do not quite trust the moral argumentation of a humanitarian intervention.  But it’s clear that Obama has taken the lead quite admirably, and he is setting the tone, as not only the American people are looking at him, but also Europe and the Arab World. One thing seems to be clear – no course of action, or inaction, will remain without consequences for the world. The impossible struggle we see here is the one of “reason and conditioning” versus “the right thing to do”. So let’s see what is unfolding..

“My main reaction to last night’s speech was a kind of bleak relief, a sort of grim gratitude, that we have a President who is capable of practical analysis and moral reasoning—under fire, as it were—and who, for good or for ill, treats his fellow citizens as adults, as thinking people to be informed and persuaded, not a fearful mob to be manipulated and condescended to.” H. Hertzberg ” The New Yorker”.

But where does intervention stop? Debate on Arming Lybian Rebels
