” It does not shy away from the extremes, and it does not look for a synthesis that is made up through a reduction of the different elements”
A very strange evening among very strange more or less elderly ladies. Most of the time they discussed which seats in the theater are the most expensive ones and thus – naturally – the best ones. The rest of the evening they discussed whether the current fashion drink is aperol/champagne or aperol/white wine. „Last night I had dinner in the most fashionable restaurant in Vienna and they served aperol/champagne. This is more expensive then aperol/white wine and therefore is definitely better and more fashionable ….“ These discussions did not end. Ladies – there are things beyond money and fashionable restaurants. There are nuclear desasters for example. „So what – Japan is far away and the Japanese are not very handsome …..“.
“New economies will be created, maybe without money – imagine that” – this imagination resulted in 10 dumb faces.
I like the idea of a new earth !

Knowing others is intelligence;
knowing yourself is true wisdom.
Mastering others is strength;
mastering yourself is true power.
If you realize that you have enough,
you are truly rich.
If you stay in the center
and embrace death with your whole heart,
you will endure forever.
Verse 33 from the Tao te Ching is all one needs to know about a life lived by Truth. What more pointers or teachings do we need, when we deeply understand this simple direction to find divine power within ?
Turn to yourself. Explore, discover. get to know yourself. What does it mean to master yourself ? To me it means to succeed in letting go. To be able to look at anything that arises, without hesitation or even without flinching. To accept what is, without even making a difference, is the meaning of moving to the centre. Leave the world of opposites behind and learn to rest in effortless relaxation, in the Now.
And thats all there is to it.

The Music We Are
Did you hear that winter is over? The basil
and the carnations cannot control their
laughter. The nightingale, back from his
wandering, has been made singing master
over the birds. The trees reach out their
congratulations. The soul goes dancing
through the king’s doorway. Anemones blush
because they have seen the rose naked.
Spring, the only fair judge, walks in the
courtroom, and several December thieves steal
away. Last year’s miracles will soon be
forgotten. New creatures whirl in from non-
existence, galaxies scattered around their
feet. Have you met them? Do you hear the
bud of Jesus crooning in the cradle? A single
narcissus flower has been appointed Inspector
of Kingdoms. A feast is set. Listen: the
wind is pouring wine! Love used to hide
inside images: no more! The orchard hangs
out its lanterns. The dead come stumbling by
in shrouds. Nothing can stay bound or be
imprisoned. You say, “End this poem here,
and wait for what’s next.” I will. Poems
are rough notations for the music we are.
Spring makes its own statement, so loud and clear that the gardener seems to be only one of the instruments, not the composer. ~Geoffrey B. Charlesworth
