On the tight-rope

Losing interest and boredom are the language of fear.We do not go in circles – life flows in a spiraling motion. Get in the flow and find out for yourself.

I am living it !

Relaxed being

Real life examples of living Truth.

“Another interesting example I can share comes from teaching a class in music appreciation and history. The high school students I have taught show an amazing attraction to a piece of music by Johann Sebastian Bach, The Little Fugue in G Minor. For whatever reason, this piece seems to capture their interest and they sense something in it that goes deeper than many other pieces of music we studied. When I play a recording of it, the students sit very still and allow it to “come in.” This is the place where it seems a connection happens between music and the vital quality we have as alive, vibrant beings.’

The end of suffering

Sustenance (Jinja, Uganda)

The end of suffering may be closer than you think.

Why is it so difficult to surrender and let go? Why are there so many people who understand the principles of spirituality, even have great insights, but still continue to suffer?

The wisdom of Rumi

Fruits of summer

There is nourishment like

bread that feeds one part

of your life and nourishment like light for another. There

are many rules about restraint

with the former, but only one rule for the latter,

Never be satisfied. Eat and drink

The soul substance, as a wick does with the oil it soaks in.

Give light to the company.

Plant life II

Blue buds

Martina’s painting and wisdom:

‘In Tai Chi practise we stand like trees & there’s a breeze I feel between my hands that may be what a tree “feels” in the wind ? A tree doesn’t “need” to grow in the way we can sometimes “decide” to embark on personal growth ~ the growth happens as part of it’s natural cycle.’

The quote is copied from the  recent Conversation with Martina. Thank you. Martina for sharing with us  your wisdom and beauty.

Plant life

A lovely painting from Martina (cloudform).

Late Flowering

“There’s a truth to plant growth that has a sweetness for me. I equate my own journey with that of a plant. A liberating feeling is to lean against a great tree & know it has been growing minutely, imperceptibly for years.”

All quotes are taken from a recent conversation with Martina.
Thank you, Martina for examples of your beautiful work.

My life closed twice before its close-

A poem by Emily Dickinson
My life closed twice before its close—
It yet remains to see
If Immortality unveil
A third event to me

So huge, so hopeless to conceive
As these that twice befell.
Parting is all we know of heaven,
And all we need of hell.
