When do you have time ?

Questions of Life are a tool for reflection. Let the question be with you and go deep. Make note of the answers.

The wisdom of Rumi

On swifter wings ( photo by Catrin )

every moment

a voice
out of this world
calls on your soul
to wake up and rise

this soul of ours
is like a flame
with more smoke than light
blackening our vision
letting no light through

lessen the smoke and
more light brightens your house
the house you dwell in now
and the abode
you’ll eventually move to

now my precious soul
how long are you going to
waste yourself
in this wandering journey
can’t you hear the voice
can’t you use your swifter wings
and answer the call

A conversation between Catrin and Michaela

The beach (photo by Catrin)

C: Hi Michaela, are you there?

M: Hi Catrin. It is lovely to meet you. How are you ?

C:  I am fine, have just been out for a long walk on the beach in the sunshine! Lovely! Did you see my picture of the garden corner?

M: Oh, that sounds wonderful. I did not realise you live by the sea.

acceptance

To be beautiful means to be yourself.

You don’t need to be accepted by others.

The wisdom of Rumi

Foliage

It is the rainy season, I dig a canal;
In the hope of union I clap my hands.
The clouds are pregnant with drops from the sea of love;
I am pregnant with those clouds.
Don’t say you are not a musician, clap your hands!
Come! I will teach you to become one.

So bright! will you tell me whose house is that?
I love bright houses so!
Alas I hide my own water of life
As oil drops cover the surface of water.

(Divan 1672)

Reality

What a person thinks about slowly becomes a person’s world.

Our thoughts, our words, and our actions create our reality.

Activist

Two clips about Jane Goodall – my personal hero and inspiration. It is people like her working tirelessly to bring the new earth into being. Jane learned about people watching chimps – and observing her being with these animals teaches us a thing or two about presence.
