The wisdom of Rumi

Finding the light (Photo by Catrin)

in the journey of quest
you must go alone
always be eager
to face the pains
it is not heroic
to hasten for the union
it is heroic
to face the separation

From Rumi “Dancing with the Flame”
Translated by Nader Khalili

What do you think about it ? What is your experience ?
Are we searching for union – or are we searching to remove the barriers.

What a question. Can you find the top of the mountain in the valley ?

Ultimate control, ultimate surrender

by Giri Ocean

Addiction is the ultimate control and the ultimate surrender.
It is a paradox that can only be known by going into it.

One of the crucial life lessons is to come in alignment with spirit. Personally, I know that is the only purpose of life. A sacred purpose. Of the portals known until recently, the most frequently available was Pain and suffering. The key is surrender.
Disconnection is the source. Fear is the response, pain is the result. Anger, addictions are just the blossoms.

In the ongoing process of addiction, there is often an unknown affinity to pain. The process is, of course unconscious. The initial pain which formed the seed and kernel, never got proper expression. So in aversion, fear and anger develop, further increasing the pain.

This will carry on until a ground is found where surrender happens, both internally and externally. Part of the life purpose of that person is to know that much suffering and pain. Alcohol is just the vehicle.

So instead of surrendering to pure pain which belongs to the formless realm, the person surrenders to the realm of form. I say this not as a judgement but out of compassion, for such a surrender happens as the pain is so great. Looked at this way, paradoxically it becomes surrender and choice at the same time. For surrender to form has happened, but the amount of pain felt or received is controlled.

This probably explains the demonic hold a person feels. Anything paradoxical has the potential to be both demonic and divine ……. often at the same time.

Space. Space and courage is needed for healing. Not answers and analysis.

Presence and Beauty

by Dreamfable

Today I suddenly became aware of the role of beauty. That beauty almost pulls me into presence. I now recognize that is movement has been with me for as far as I know.

I can wander for hours through forests. Seeing beauty everywhere I look. Feeling the aliveness of the trees. Taking away tensions… A blanket of peace… Energetic…

Paintings and words of artists can really touch me. Taking me inside. They are like bridges to another world.

Sometimes I have it with people as well. More with women then with men. Although there are exceptions.

I do not know why this is. This relationship between presence and beauty. This discrimination of the world. I assume that the more enlightened a person is, the more this person will be able to see beauty.

I am not enlightened however. So until then… I just enjoy beauty and am grateful for it’s quality in bringing me closer to presence

Bending truth

Watching a web of lies

Not to long ago I was at a family gathering and someone brought up an old  childhood event that happened many years ago. The curious thing was that both of my sisters, as well as my brother, had a different recollection about it.  It appeared like they were not even in the same room, let alone having witnessed the same situation.

This made me contemplate about manipulation and  the way we control our reality.

I would not call anyone in my family a liar, in the sense that they would deliberately tell an untruth, far from it. And yet, looking back, I can see how everyone was silently but actively co-operating to build and strengthen a certain story and keep it alive. That included to integrate own experiences with the perceived game-plan. And this explains the different perception of a simple situation.

Magic: Watch it’s source!

by Glerikud

“Cursed magic” is powered by an egoic thought or emotion (even like: “I’m better than them because of magic”), and it can do almost anything as well, the difference is just the vibration of energy. It’s like some kind of fog. A lot of people start using this, if they don’t know about the innen dimension. The result will be pain (of course) and they can get confused in the end.

“True magic” just happens, comes to the surface on itself (I can’t describe it now how, but you have control over this as well). The power of this comes from this moment directly (not trough the mind). Of course it’s vibration is way more higher then the “Cursed magic”‘s. Using this magic or circulating this energy in your body itself is healing your body and soul. I can say it’s like the elven magic in some movies 🙂

Advice is like snow – the softer it falls,
the longer it dwells upon, and the deeper in sinks into the mind.

In the moment

by Marita

Irrational as it seems, for a fleeting moment I’m actually jealous of my dogs!  But what wouldn’t I give to lead the carefree life of something that lives so blatantly in the moment.

Have you ever noticed your dogs lying awake, seemingly worrying about how they could possibly manage to achieve all the tasks they had set themselves the day before? But perhaps we could learn a lesson from our pets.

They are completely engaged in the present , and that makes it all the more pleasurable.

Next time I see my dogs lounging around, lazing the day away, I’m going to look at them and remember that I too can enjoy that contentment!
