Beyond religion

In this new book His Holiness the Dalai Lama argues that religion is not a necessity for pursuing a spiritual life. Rather he proposes a system of secular ethics grounded in a deep appreciation of our common humanity. This is more than a gesture – this is a major step in terms of integrating spiritual values in daily life.
