Care for the collective

Just a few kids ?

Occupy Wall Street is leaderless resistance movement with people of many colors, genders and political persuasions. The one thing we all have in common is that We Are The 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%.

About Michaela

I am a wanderer and a wonderer, like you are. I love our journey and to walk in the company of friends – to learn, experience, share, laugh, cry and above all I simply love this marvelous, magical, mysterious life. I have no plan (cannot believe I am saying this) and my only intention is to be truthful to myself and others.

It’s the beginning of a new society ! Around the world people are gathering !

That is so cool! Yes!!! And it is happening here! I wasn’t even aware of it. Just down the street.. It is so frustrating to know how much is going on, underground so to speak, in communities everywhere here and to see that all that gets publicized is the Tea Party which is largely supported by corporations through the back door.

I am forwarding this clip to everyone I know. Some of them are regular demonstrations already, community action groups, anti war (make that for Peace) etc. “Pass this bill now” (the American Jobs Act and tax reform) ….you name it. Each group can join this base and hopefully will.

Yes. I sent it to my daughter who is a community organizer (Oh Lord. Is that a real profession?). Just kidding. I am actually pleased for her that she is so passionate and committed to making the world a better place. Her group, People United for Sustainable Housing (PUSH), and all their affiliates, have been, like you, following this movement and they are in contact. Push was in new york on Wall Street twice befor and they are planning to come back again. They’re in Buffalo, 6 or 7 hours away. These smaller grass roots groups bring specific focus, real life effects arising out of the underlying problem that has everyone out there now. Protesters can appear in the 100’s and you will never hear about it in the news. Then there is the internet. : ) I hope no one gets hurt. Nothing to do but watch it unfold.

Its an interesting phenomenon and we will see it grow. Police overreacted obviously, in an attempt to “take back the street”.

I just do not understand it anymore. I probably never did. And now, I stopped trying. 🙂
