Vipassana Meditation literally means to observe the breath. By practicing Vipassana one eventually becomes the master of his or her own mind. During the meditation on the breath in the body, we look inward and gradually we become masters our own emotions. This results in a much greater clarity of thought processes and behaviors we display in our every day lives. By focusing on the body's internal environment, it opens a door for us to see the true nature of our body and mind. We remain in the present moment as we observe the breath and eventually the mind does not wander into the past or future. When the mind becomes still and silent our awareness of the true reality of ourselves blossoms and we are no longer prisoners of our suffering. A suffering mind is always grasping, wanting, seeking attachment, worrying and emotional. Vipassana Meditation teaches us that we no longer need to cling to these negative mental states and opens the door to true happiness and profound mental peace...

I resonate with everything that has been said and would like to add my view.

There is healing and there is healed.
Using the premiss of two dimensions, form and formless, I would attribute healing in the form dimension, as healing implies doing and time.
Healed could be said to be in the formless dimension because it doesn't need time, it is!

Their are many forms of healing that are vital on the physical, psychological and emotional level.

On the deeper level of pure conciousness there is healed.

The recognition that form is subject to change and dissolution is a big step toward the formless and gives an opportunity to strengthen the possibility of healing on the external level.

Stepping back into "space" is a chance to dis-identify from externals; to see what is happening with more clarity and gives relief from anguish.

Perhaps the resolve "I prefer not to think about it" comes from a deeper place than the mind, perhaps it comes from the place of healed, on a higher plane.

Big paradox in there I'm sure, (I like paradox's)
Wonderful to see and hear you all.
